Deviations from normality

From the Acute Pontification Syndrome Department comes the latest from columnist George Will (Handbook suggests that deviations from 'normality' are disorders, The Washington Post, February 28, 2010) who believes that a general "liberal disposition" motivates "America's therapeutic culture to medicalize character flaws."  Will argues that newly identified and/or reclassified disorders within the recently released draft of the Diagnstic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders (DSM-V) illustrate this movement to somehow justify bad behavior by giving it a medical label.  To read more . . .
