Training Opportunities

The Mental Health Association of Nebraska offers training opportunities for consumers, professionals and community leaders including . . .

STIGMA REDUCTION/SENSITIVITY TRAINING

Taught by mental health service consumers, this training provides participants with a unique and effective perspective of the impact of misinformation and individual and systemic bias toward people living with mental health issues. Training workshops are available for service providers, community leaders and service groups, and schools.

WELLNESS RECOVERY ACTION PLAN (WRAP)

As with the Stigma workshops, WRAP training is taught by highly trained consumer facilitators who follow Mary Ellen Copeland’s nationally recognized recovery curriculum focusing on strategies to decrease and prevent intrusive or troubling feelings and behaviors, increase personal empowerment, improve quality of life and assist people in achieving their own life goals and dreams.
