Cynthia Surrounded, Board President
Behavioral Health Region 5, Lincoln

Bruce Riedman is the Vice-President of MHA-NE. He has been a member of the board for 6 years and has served as President for 3 years. Bruce resides in Lincoln, and serves as our Nebraska Behavioral Health Region 5 representative. Bruce has owned and operated his own business for over 20 years and is a Nebraska Leadership Academy graduate.

Cindy Scott resides in Junieta and currently serves as our Board Secretary. Cindy has been active in the mental health reform efforts for almost 20 years. Cindy is extremely active in serveral boards, councils, and advisory committees. Her passion is to help create a mental health system that will empower individuals and families and support recovery. Cindy is our representative from Behavioral Health Region 3 and is a Nebraska Leadership Academy graduate. Cindy also believes if you have questions about what a particular group or committee does, join the group.

Judy Morris resides in Imperial, Nebraska and is one of our 3 representatives from Behavioral Health Region 2. Judy is has been active in mental health reform for almost 10 years. Judy is our MHA historian as she seems to have records of all MHA activity (stored in the trunk of her car!). Judy is an advocate for all mental health consumers and is also a Nebraska Leadership Academy graduate.

Eric Nielsen resides in O'Neil, NE, and is our board representative from Behavioral Health Region 4. Eric provides MHA with technical advice and support. He also provides a rural perspective and is a Nebraska Leadership Academy graduate. He has been active in the mental health reform for almost 5 years.

Dr. Jim McReynolds is our Region 6 representative from Elmwood Nebraska. Jim has many titles as he is a pastor, campus minister, and senior psychiatric theapist. He is the author of Dancing with Bipolar Bears: Living in Joy Despite Illness. Jim has spoke in varies locations and continues to support our recovery efforts through advocacy and education.

George Simpson is from Lincoln. George is great support to MHA-NE. He currently is assisting in keeping up with our membership database and providing office support. He also is active in the Lincoln Chapter and has been participating in fundraising efforts and building their membership.
